Discovering Myself

Oh dear sweet lord I’m exhausted so if I don’t get this out now it just won’t happen.

Here is how my day went.

7am: Woke up and pondered getting out of bed. Nope not happening.

9am: Thought, I’m a lazy bastard and I ate way too much at the Home so get your ass to the gym.

10am: Get to the gym and do 30min cardio and about 15 weights and crunches.

11:10am: After getting showered and dressed I head to a friend’s house to be DD for the drunken masses!

11:15am: Get into hell-a traffic on I-75 S… FUCK YOU GADOT!!! These must be the stupidest people on the face of the planet. Plan your shit better guys, there is no reason to shut down 4 lanes of traffic at once!

12:15am: Arrive at the approved meeting spot for me to take the reigns!

12:45am: After waiting for our lagardly friend to show, he finally does and we immediately throw him into the car and scramble for the beer fest.

1pm: My friends drop me at the DD pay for your ticket at the gate line… I go up and say I’m a DD, take my money and give me free water or you shall feel my wrath! I actually just said I’m a DD and handed them my 15 bucks and went in with no tasting cup. I’m not a huge beer fan anywho, so it worked out. The water and people were fun.

2pm: I started to feel hunger pangs and jet out to this little sushi place where I got lunch. You can check out that article of what I had in my Blog elsewhere!

3:30pm: After having gone back to the fest and mozied about watching the scenery I found my buddies and started to tag along and people watch. People watching is my new favorite sport. Although I do want to talk to the people eventually. Confidence here I come!

4pm: More of the same… too many people in the beer fest area… 90F I have had at least half a gallon of water and have yet to pee! What the hell?!

5pm: Exit the park thinking my friends would figure out that our appointed time had come and gone and that I would be trying to contact them!!!! DRUNKARDS!!! Oh well, so I head for the car.

5:30pm: Get to the car, send texts and leave messages. I figure at some point they’ll have to come that way. Well they do… about 5:45pm

5:45: We head to the BBQ and it’s at these guy’s awesome house in east atlanta! It’s AWESOME!

6pm: We start eating burgers and brats! I was starving so I scarfed down a burger with mustard and a brat with mustard and some backed beens. Not to mention a couple of cups of chips and dips… I’m a pig!!!

We chatted and hung out until about 9:30pm

9:30pm: Me and a friend skeedattle to Atlantic Station to watch Indian Jones… this is where the fun real fun begins!!!!

So we make it all the way to Atlantic Station in record time on backstreets though Atlanta! Well we get there and dear sweet jesus there are at least 10K people there!!! And these stupid bitches are blocking the lane of traffic talking to some random guy because apparently the rules don’t apply to them!!! FUCK YOU!!!! Oh well, I hate them, they shall burn in a fiery hell! Ok, done venting on that. So I drive through the entire parking deck… no damn parking… I then discover there is a LOWER desk… drive around for at least 10 minutes and finally find a spot in the FAR back after stalking people walking to their car! JESUS!!! Ok, finally get there. So I start walking at a quickened pace because I truly hate being late!!! I HATE IT!!! Because this is what happens when you’re late…

I get up and I’m buying 2 tickets at the little card automated thing… wellllll I pay and only ONE TICKET POPS OUT!!! So this means I’ll have to go to customer service. Well let me tell you. I get in line at Customer Service and there are these 5 girls… in front of me… I took out some explicatives because they aren’t appropriate! Anyway, only one of them bought the tickets… did all of them have to be there? NO!

So it takes them an additional 10 minutes, so it’s now like 10:15 by the time I get to the counter, not enough time to get good seats before the actual movie starts. So I tell the guy, “Listen, since your machine screwed up and only gave me one ticket and it’s too late to get into this movie without missing some, just give me the 11pm showing… two tickets this time!” He is like, well were you supposed to get two tickets… I said, yes and showed him my receipt. He immediately gave me my two tickets.

My friend forgot her car park ticket to get validated so she had to run back for that. That took about 20 minutes… it is a hike of a ways done to the abyss where we parked! So I take up residence in a chair at one of the tables near the ticket checker… So we finally get seated and chat for a bit, then the commercials and previews take like an hour to complete.

So anyway, Indiana Jones I’ll blog about later. I thought it was fun, but it was lack luster compared to the old ones. I think Spielberg is losing it with his damned CGI stuff!

Ok, sleepy time!

Today is the East Atlanta Beer Festival!  I’m going as a Designated Driver so that I can chauffeur drunkards around all day!  Actually I’m not a huge beer fan, so I couldn’t have done it any justice, so I’m taking the cheaper route and going as a DD for half price to get in and hang out with my friends.  Then I’m going to a BBQ at a friend’s house after that.

All is well in my world, still a bit lonely at times, but it’s getting better.  I’ve not gotten a chance to really clean house yet, but I’ve done a majority of the laundry.  I need to rearrange a lot of things.  I’m laying in bed because it’s damn chilly out of bed and it’s Saturday and I’m cozy! haha

I’m pondering going to the gym and running for a half hour to get the blood flowing, but laziness is winning so far.

I hope to meet some really nice guys at the EABF!  I hope that happens.  I’m usually shy around people I don’t know, so we shall see!  Alrighty, time to get ready… possibly even go work out for a few minutes… possibly.

Oh my goodness….

So I got invited to Home, it’s a restaurant in Buckhead, I am told it’s good. I am trying to stick with my diet, so I’ll be eating rather light at dinner and skipping my shake for dinner. I’m sure that’s ok for one day. I will let you know how the restaurant is and post what I ate and we’ll see how it goes.

I didn’t do that well for lunch today, but it wasn’t too bad. It’s Friday so SHUT IT!!! haha

I think cutting the cheese out made it ok. Might have been a lot of salt though.

It superb. The portions seem small for the price, but this is fine dining after all, so the price will be a bit higher.

First I had a cocktail of the Raspberry Lemonade with Kettle One.

I then had an apetizer of deviled duck eggs, three with one topping each of fine bacon, pork, and tomato. These are excellent. I made quick work of them!

I then ordered the New York Strip. It was good, a bit salty and overdone for rare. I always get my steak rare, I don’t know why. It just tastes better, I’m a vampire I suppose… haha. It came atop a bed of truly creamed corn and I substituted veggies for fried onion rings I believe.

I had a couple of bites of the deserts, but I wasn’t too impressed with those.

I would highly recommend this as a date night place. I would get desert somewhere else that you really enjoy.

The food is rich and heavy, but the quantities will even that out. Not a place for dieters! haha

What is your daily routine?

My day seems so boring! haha

6:30-7:00am: Wake up and feel drowsy.
7:15am: Brush teeth and take shower.
7:30am: Make my breakfast shake.
8:00am: Check e-mail, get dressed and get work stuff together.
8:30am: Leave for work.
8:45-9:00am: Get into work and setup my computer.
9:00-10:30am: Do secret work related thingies!
10:30-11:30am: Catch up on E-mail and read security related articles to keep skills sharp.
11:30-12:30pm: Get an early start to lunch because it gets rowdy around here at lunch time.
12:30-1:30pm: Catch up on my e-mail. I swear these people and their e-mail.
1:30-2:30pm: Meetings or updating project data.
2:30-4:30pm: Completing Tickets and Tasks.
4:30pm: Prepare to go home and get to my car pondering whether traffic will be good or bad.
5:30pm: Arrive home… hopefully.

Somedays, I go to the gym for 5:30ish and get some cardio in before my personal training sessions. Then I’m home or out of there by 7:15pm.

Once I’m home I just relax, might watch a movie or something. If a friend calls they come over or I might go out and hang out with them. I don’t like to hang out too late on “school nights” though. haha
